to combat this start collecting silica gel packets usually found in shoes and various places in packaging. you know the ones that say do not eat!! and just place the small ones in your match box or container where you store your matches. good usable matches even if left out. have a good smoke!! jch

Great idea! If you have extra time on your hands, you can also take some tea light candles, and light them. Wait for all the wax to melt and then dip the ends of your matches into them. This makes them waterproof! I use this method for camping trips and such.
